Grants individuals the right to appeal to the government for redress of grievances
Ensuring every voice is heard, every vote is secure, and every right is protected.
The American Rights Alliance (ARA) is dedicated to ensuring government accountability and upholding the constitutional rights of all Americans. Through lawsuits and amicus briefs, we challenge actions that suppress First Amendment rights and undermine election integrity. This includes lobbying, filing lawsuits, and seeking policy changes.
DEFEND DEMOCRACYTrump attorney Peter Ticktin, with the backing of the ARA, has filed a lawsuit (Case Number: 2024 CA 001976) in the Second Judicial Circuit in Tallahassee. The complaint targets U.S. Congresswoman Kathy Castor and various election officials, citing substantial evidence of fraudulent vote-by-mail requests in Florida's Congressional District 14.
On September 9, 2024, an extraordinary 198,166 ballot requests were processed, with 37,000 requests lacking critical identification safeguards—like driver’s license numbers or the last four digits of Social Security Numbers—key measures designed to prevent fraud.
The ARA believes this case reveals systemic procedural failures that may reflect a larger issue, potentially uncovering irregularities that occurred during the 2020 federal election. By supporting this lawsuit, the ARA remains committed to defending election integrity and ensuring that democratic processes are transparent, secure, and trustworthy.
The ARA defends the First Amendment against government overreach, ensuring that individuals can speak, gather, and engage without fear of retaliation or censorship.
Example Case: The ARA stands with Couy Griffin, a New Mexico county commissioner removed from office under the 14th Amendment's Disqualification Clause (Section 3). Although Griffin did not enter the Capitol building on January 6, 2021, he was labeled an “insurrectionist” and removed from office—an action that set a dangerous precedent for the suppression of political speech.
By taking this case to the U.S. Supreme Court, Griffin argued his removal violated his constitutional rights to free speech and peaceful assembly. The ARA recognizes the critical importance of defending individuals against unjust targeting and protecting their ability to lawfully express dissenting views.
An amicus brief—or "friend of the court"—allows the ARA to offer expertise and vital perspectives on cases that shape the future of free speech, civil liberties, and fair elections. By filing these briefs, the ARA amplifies constitutional principles and helps courts reach fair and just decisions.
Our amicus efforts ensure that:
First Amendment rights remain protected against censorship and suppression. Election processes are transparent, secure, and accountable. Government overreach and unconstitutional actions are met with resistance and scrutiny.
Freedom of speech, press independence, and the right to challenge misinformation are essential for a transparent and democratic society. These rights, protected by the First Amendment and upheld in cases like Citizens United, Sullivan, and Near, ensure that every voice can be heard, every truth can be told, and every leader can be held accountable. The American Rights Alliance is steadfast in its commitment to preserving these freedoms for all.
